You never give us your password
Sign-in happens on Bungie's official site (bungie.net). You are sent there to log in and come back with a token — your password never touches this app, and we never see it.
Read-only — it can't change anything
Bungie only grants us permission to read your profile. Equipping, dismantling, deleting, trading, buying — none of that is in what we request, so it simply is not possible.
